Trip Preparation & Timelines
Once your application is formally accepted, our leadership team will contact you directly with specialized onboarding details, credential verification links, and pre-departure orientation dates to prepare you for the field.
Financial Deadlines
A $150 non-refundable deposit is required immediately upon approval to lock in your position on the clinic deployment roster. Total trip contribution balances must be fully resolved 30 days prior to departure.

Do I need to be a medical professional to join?
No! While we strictly need healthcare professionals and specialists, we also heavily rely on non-medical volunteers to manage patient intake, triage logistics, crowd flow, translation, and community children's outreach.
What does the $1,500 contribution cover?
It covers all in-country costs including lodging, clean meals, local ground transport, emergency medical travel insurance, and field clinic setup costs. Airfare to/from Panama City is independent and managed by you.
Are my trip payments tax-deductible?
Yes. Bridging Panama is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. All payments toward your required balance and donations submitted by sponsors are tax-deductible. Note that the $150 deposit is non-refundable.
What does a typical day look like on the field?
We usually start with morning team devotions and breakfast before heading to the local clinic site in Veracruz. We run clinics through the morning and afternoon, taking breaks for lunch, and wrap up with dinner and team debriefs in the evening.
Do I need to speak fluent Spanish?
It is a wonderful asset, but absolutely not required. We partner closely with trusted local translators from the community who sit alongside our teams to facilitate completely clear communication during clinical assessments.
Where will the team stay while in Veracruz?
Teams stay in secure, pre-vetted lodging facilities near our ministry footprint. Accommodations focus on comfort, safety, and filtered water access, allowing the team to rest well after demanding clinic work.
